Cafe Beignets of Alabama in Orange Beach

Local dive, beignets are great. If you expect anything else, you're in the wrong place.

Popped in last week to get some reading done. I love the friendly staff. Delicious soy latte! And the World Peace tea was very refreshing. They have a mix of sweet and savory pastries too. And they let owners bring their dogs in! Very cute.Cafe Beignet.

Excellent quality coffee any coffee lover would appreciate! Definitely recommend their Vanilla cold brew ($4.50). For their cold brew, they give you the choice of whole milk or almond milk which I'm sure all the other lactose intolerant people also appreciate. Long lines come and go, but the service is always good and quick.

These beignets are amazing. I’ve been to Cafe du Monde in New Orleans plenty of times, and these are just as good if not better!!

The beignets are every bit as good as in New Orleans. The parking lot doesn't quite have the ambience of Jackson Square.

A family favorite. Tables were sticky, but it is difficult to keep clean with all the powdered sugar. I tried the stuffed ones this time - not so good. Too much pudding to beignet and the beignet was a bit dark or burnt. Tasted like the oil needs to be changed. Waitress was pleasant, but not particularly customer aware. She didn't move fast or with purpose. She was physically present, but not attentive.Owner needs to invest a little of the profits to make it more presentable. Feels cheap.That said, we will be back. Just wish for a more positive experience.

Great place to grab breakfast. I think the beignets here are better than New Orleans style at Cafe du Monde and 4 times as big. Fluffy not dense like theirs. Nom Nom!

I Google searched 'Bakery' and this came up. Honestly, this is a begneit specialty shop. There is not really an atmosphere. We didn't like the stuffed begneits. Plain begneit - 5* though.

Small little place, one guy running everything by himself, but the food was amazing.

This place has to know what they are doing when they make a damn good old fashion donut/buttermilk bar. Crispy outside and soft cakey but fluffy inside. There only one other donut shop I know that makes it the same but I won't talk about that .

Amazing beignets! We're from Louisiana and have had NOLA beignets and these are just as good if not better!! The cappuccinos are from a machine and a bit sweet but can be fixed with added milk.

We visit Perdido every summer. Summer of 2018 was the first time was at the cafe. AWESOME! Went 4 straight mornings. Cannot wait to go back.

Waitress was friendly. Atmosphere was lackluster. I think the beignets tasted ok. They were overpriced, a bit greasy, and the dough was flat. I tried both the filled and plain beignets. The filing was a bit odd in my opinion. I preferred the plain beignets. Coffee was average. They had local art on the walls, which was nice.

The place needs some revamping. Beignets were ok.. kinda dry...3% charge for card transactions.

Super cheap and super yum. The staff is awesome and sweet! Go here if you want amazing beignets!

Ok so here's how it is. From Colorado and just drove through New Orleans to visit the iconic Cafe Du Monde on my way to Orange Beach, Alabama. Cafe Dude Monde was pretty filthy and the beignets we're too doughy. I come to this joint in Alabama and they are fluffy and super hot. This place makes Cafe Du Monde look like a joke. If you're ever here. Hit this place up. If you want pizza dough go to Cafe Du Monde.

Fluffy and tasty but kinda reminded me of sopapillas and made me wish I had honey too.Very good though back in June

Great beignets! Nice and big. Coffee is good as well. Mom and pop owned. Service was good keeping up with my heavy coffee drinking.

Do not eat here if you have any tastebuds! Place is filthy and dusty. Lived in New Orleans, and that’s the only place where ive consistently ordered fresh beignets. Came with my family at 6:50AM and ordered a dozen beignets, but none of us could take more than a bite. If I was drunk I’d be able to eat it. My mom said that it tasted like they were fried in motor oil, and the powdered sugar tasted off. Man was friendly, but needs to clean out the fryer and use fresh oil.

The beingnets were tasty. The restaurant was grimy and needed a serious cleaning. The restroom was untidy including the toilet, sink trash can floor and mirror. The fryer was dripping with cooking oil. I'm not planning a second visit.

We drive almost 2 hours to go there. Does that say enough? We love the fresh beignets. No need for fancy coffees, that is not what it is about. Simple, fresh, we are made to feel welcome. The pastries are made fresh locally, just not at the Perdido key store. Old fashioned, beach town hangout. Love it!

The beignets are very, very good!!! The atmosphere is ok, the waitress is nice. Go for the beignets but don't expect much else. Beignets and coffee.

The vanilla custard has a weird taste to it. Almost like a cheap Boston Cream pie. I would recommend getting the unfilled beignets. The art for sale on the walls is gorgeous though! Definitely a great idea and a nice way to showcase local artists!

We've been 3 times this week on our OBA trip. We dont have beignets at home so it's a treat to get this taste of New Orleans. They make the beignets to order and they are very good. Also a dozen is 12 dollars which I thought was a great price. I only got the beignets so not sure about the coffee or other baked items.

Absolutely horrible. Do not waste your time or money. The beignets are hardly edible...unless you like the taste of motor oil. In addition, the place was filthy and was not a welcoming environment. I’m surprised they passed their health inspection. Never again.

Beignets were fantastic; rolled cut and fried to order. The filled ones are so full and delicious. The french toast coffee was a bit dark for my taste, but still much better than most. The front half was clean, but the back half and bathrooms need some cleaning. We came early on Friday and had our choice of table. Mostly take out orders while we were there.

Made absolutely fresh and hot!! Loaded with powder sugar as they should be and great service! Definitely will be back.

Was so excited to go here because heard so much about them. I was greeted at the door by a woman who did not say hello...her first words were "We close in five minutes. You can only get something to go." Only to be echoed by the man saying "We need to be out of here in five minutes". WOW! We just turned around. You might consider politely informing people.

I live locally and love this place. The beignets are cooked to order -never started before you arrive. Its a very simple menu, mostly just beignets and coffee- a few baked items under glass at the counter. the walls are lined with local coastal art. Its a close as you can get to Cafe Du Monde without being in New Orleans.

First time trying beignets ever and I'm so glad we got them here! I didn't get a photo of the filled ones because the family ate them up so quickly! They are a must have treat in this area! I'm glad we tried them at the beginning of our trip because we will be getting them again at least once before we head home!
